When she was 24, Jayaben got married to Suryakant Desai, who owned a business in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania. After her wedding, Jayaben stayed on in India to complete her tailoring course, which is when her first child was born.
Jayaben: "Hurry up or we'll be late for college!".
